Luristan Bronze Belt , circa 1200 BC

Luristan bronze belt , approximately 1200 BC.  These were an early form of armor intended to protect the belly.  It is 36 inches long and 5 inches wide.  Still very springy.  The edges are perforated with small holes for securing a lining.  It has scrapes, some damage and areas of corrosion, but on the whole it is in good condition considering its age.  Has an excellent green patination.
