Model 1832 General Officers Sword

Model 1832 General Officers Sword with an engraved brass scabbard.  Brass hilt with a silver wire wrap which has minor repairs.  D guard decorated with small cast balls.  Decorated brass pommel with a square nut securing the blade.  All originally gilded with some remaining.  30 inch double edged blade with a central fuller decorated with etched military motifs, eagle with etched "E Pluribus Unum" in a banner, panoply of arms and floral sprays.  Probably an Ames but I can't find the name in the somewhat deteriorated etched decorations.  Overall length is 39 inches.  Scabbard has a few minor dents that could be removed.  Overall length with scabbard is 39 inches.
