Indian Blanket Gun

Indian blanket gun made from a cut-down 1816 Harpers Ferry musket dated 1822, converted to percussion.  Very crudely done.  Butt looks to have been hacked off using a hatchet.  Muzzle hacked off at an angle.  Original screws replaced by bolts.  Overall length 24 inches with an 11 1/2 inch barrel.  Front of barrel appears to be attached to the stock with a loop.  Rusty, but VP is still visible at the breech.  The gun appears to have been painted yellow at one time.  Traces remain.  Gun cut short so it could be easily hidden.  Great example of an Indian gun that hasn't been touched.
