English Hanger with a Lion Head Pommel, circa 1750

English hanger with a lion head pommel, circa 1750.  The pommel is lightly silver plated with copper showing through areas of wear.  The guard is "dip plated" with a heavy silver coating with two small areas where the iron shows through, plus a small area of bubbling on the inside of the "D".  Ebony hilt with a spiral silver band.  26 inch single edged blade with a single small groove at the back of the blade and wide groove in the middle.  Over all length 31 1/2 inches.  Grip has some chipping at the top.  The blade is lightly pitted.  Leather scabbard with some damage, lacking mounts
