Flint boxlock brass powder tester signed W. Parker, Holborn , London.  Circa 1800.  Parker had a shop in London from 1790 to 1840.  Used to measure the strength of a batch of gun powder by firing a set amount of powder that rotated a calibrated wheel.  Useful in the period when quality control was not exact.  6 inches long.  Excellent condition.
