Swept Hilt Rapier, circa 1600

Swept hilt rapier, circa 1600.  Fluted pommel with matching grooves at cross guard junction.  Single down curved quillon with opposing D Guard.  Single bar at front with three bars on reverse side with a single counterguard.  Old replaced wire grip.  Overall 44 inches with a 38 x 1 inch flattened diamond blade.  No maker's marks.  There areas of light corrosion that need careful cleaning. Solid sword with no looseness.
